Dr. Ahmad Khalid Hatam

Dr. Ahmad Khalid Hatam is a Partner at Hatam & Nouri LLC. Dr Hatam has a broad range of experience advising multinational companies, financial institutions, banks and governmental institutions on advisory, transactional and contentious commercial matters. He has advised clients on the regulatory and governmental policy framework across a number of industry sectors.

Dr. Hatam has extensively worked on issues including but not limited to Commercial Law, Tax Law, Labor Law, Banking Law, Islamic Banking Law, Alternative Dispute Resolution mechanisms including Arbitration Law and Mediation Law, the Law of Negotiable Instruments and Property Law.

He has completed his BA, LL.B (Hons) Shariah and Law, LL.M (International Law) and PhD Islamic Law and Jurisprudence from the Faculty of Shariah and Law, International Islamic University Islamabad.

He is a member of Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb) and Afghanistan Centre for Dispute Resolution (ACDR).

He is fluent in English, Arabic, Urdu, Dari and Pashto languages.

Mrs Sara Nauri

As the cofounder and managing partner of Hatam & Nouri LLC, Sara Nouri has engaged in work involving trade, investment, financial regulations, corporate structures, taxation, regulatory frameworks and labour laws. Industry experience also includes mining, oil & gas and energy & infrastructure.

She obtained her degrees in International and European Law (BA & L.L.M) and Slavic Languages and Culture (BA) at the University of Groningen in the Netherlands and gained experience in her field while working for the Dutch and the Afghan governments as well as international organizations and private enterprises both in Europe and Afghanistan.
